Description

Meerkats are mammals and belong to the family of mongoose. They attain a snout-vent length of 24.5 to 29 cm (9.6 to 11.4 inches), their tail measures between 19 to 24 cm (7.5 and 9.4 inches). They weigh between 620 to 970 gr (1.4 to 2.1 lbs). Meerkats live in the South of Africa.
